IEW, created in 2000 by the U.S. departments of State and Education, emphasizes the importance of increasing knowledge and awareness of the world鈥檚 cultures, peoples, and languages, and affirms the critical role international education plays at Boston College and elsewhere.

This year鈥檚 IEW theme at 极速六合官方网址 is 鈥淓mbracing Challenging Conversations: Moving Towards Reconciliation Locally, Nationally, and Globally,鈥 which invites members of the University community to consider how they might come together to approach global issues that are uncomfortable, contentious, divisive, or troubling鈥攐n campus and beyond.

IEW 2018 at Boston College is a collaborative effort organized by a wide array of University departments and offices, under the direction of the offices of International Programs and International Students and Scholars.

Among event highlights is an exhibition of photos submitted by international students on display until November 30 at the Level One Gallery in O鈥橬eill Library.
